Mornings 9.30am to 11.30am
Afternoons 1.00pm to 3.00pm

Main Objectives

The course is for people who have never used a computer or who have very little knowledge of computing. We will show you how to access the Internet, create and manage an email account and use social networking (Facebook, My Space).

You will learn how to:

  • Search on the internet using Google
  • Access a web site using a web address
  • Send and reply to an email
  • Send and receive an attachment by email
  • Create a social networking account
  • Manage your finances online
  • Shopping on the internet
  • Know how to stay safe online

Assessment Methods

No formal assessment, but you will be closely monitored and supported on the course

Possible Progression Routes

You will be able to progress to a higher level course in computer skills according to your ability; for example, Move IT on.
