Entry Requirements Entry Level in Using ICT
You will be expected to have a standard of literacy and numeracy appropriate to the level at which you are working
Main Objectives

The aim of the course is to enable you to use a range of different software applications effectively and assist you in the development of skills and knowledge that you will need to undertake further study.

To obtain the QCF ITQ Certificate you are required to achieve 13 credits by completing assessments on the mandatory units and 3 optional units. You will gain an QCF ITQ Level 1 Certificate and a CLAiT Certificate at Level 1.

Mandatory Units: 

  • Improving Productivity Using IT
  • File Management and e-Document Production

Optional Units:

  • Creating Spreadsheets and Graphs
  • Database Manipulation
  • e-Publication Creation (DTP)
  • Create an e-Presentation (PowerPoint)
  • Online Communication (Internet & Email)
Method of Study Tutor taught workshops.
Materials Required All learning materials provided.
Assessment Methods Learners are required to take an assessment for each unit.
Possible Progression Routes Allows progression to higher level courses such as the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) which is a QCF ITQ Level 2 Certificate
Fees

Full fee £200 (Fees can be paid in instalments)
£52.50 if in receipt of a means tested benefit (you must provide proof of benefit)
