CLAiT 2006 Level 1 Qualification

Computer Literacy and Information Technology

Entry Requirements A good basic knowledge on computers
Main Objectives

The aim of the course is to enable you to use a range of computer applications effectively and prepare you for progression to further education or employment.

To obtain the full CLAiT certificate you are required to complete three units - 1 mandatory unit plus 2 optional units.

Optional Units:

  • File Management and Document Production
  • Creating Spreadsheets and Graphs
  • Database Manipulation
  • Publication Creation (DTP)
  • Creating a Presentation (PowerPoint)
  • Online Communication (Internet)
Method of Study Tutor taught classes
Materials Required All learning materials provided.
Assessment Methods Learners are required to take an assessment for each unit.
Possible Progression Routes Allows progression to higher level courses such as CLAiT Plus and the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL)
