Market Hall Opening Ceremony Photos

Here are just some of the photos taken at the hugely successful re-launch of Ashton’s historic market hall at the end of November. The silk dancers from Sheffield, Mango Rose, set the scene for what was a spectacular day, which also included speeches from the borough’s civic dignitaries and the town crier, plus exploding glitter balls and classical music. 

The early, cold morning start didn’t deter the hundreds who turned up to watch the event, which culminated with the dropping of a banner declaring the market open and the doors opening for the first time for business.
