A Tribute to

John Angier

1605 - 1677

On a stone plinth outside the Church of St. Lawrence in Denton this plaque remembers John Angier. A Puritan divine, he was Minister at St. Lawrence's for forty six years. He survived the various religious upheavals of the seventeenth century and continued to preach the Puritan message.
