Health on the Shopping List at Asda Hyde
Asda Hyde unveiled its new pharmacy department with the help of the Civic Mayor of Tameside, Jean Brazil.
To celebrate the opening of a new health service in Hyde, Councillor Brazil joined the Asda pharmacy colleagues to officially open the new pharmacy.
In what is a welcome arrival for Hyde residents, the new department follows a three-year campaign by Asda to make pharmacies more accessible to the community. Free consultations are available for everyone. As well as free blood pressure monitoring, the pharmacy offers a wide variety of free services, including stop smoking advice, cholesterol and diabetes testing. Also, if you are trying to start a family, Asda pharmacy offers “Not for Profit” pricing on IVF prescriptions.
The Asda Hyde pharmacy also has a consulting room where confidential matters can be discussed in privacy with a member of the pharmacy team. In addition, the pharmacy offers customers free collection of repeat prescriptions from their doctors.
Speaking about the opening, store manager Stuart Davey comments, “It’s great for the store that we have added this new and invaluable service. It was an honour to have The Civic Mayor in store to meet the pharmacy team and see all the products and services that we have on offer at the pharmacy.”
The new pharmacy is be open from 8am-11pm Monday, 7am-11pm Tuesday-Friday, 7am – 10pm Saturday, and 11am-5pm on a Sunday. With its late-night opening it will be ideal for those customers with busy schedules or for any late night emergency.
