The Care Homes List is produced by the Joint Commissioning & Performance Management Team, Tameside Adult Services, Rydal House, Rydal Avenue, Hyde, SK14 4QB. Telephone number: 0161 366 4301.
Homes on the list have been inspected by the Care Quality Commission 
and have a contract with Tameside Council. Homes are visited regularly by a Contracts Monitoring Officer (Tameside Council) to make sure the standards agreed to in the contract are being met.
The Care Homes List is updated regularly and gives you contact details for each home; the owners; the total number of places, and the category of home. The category tells you if the home specialises in any care such as dementia or physical disability and has been registered for this by the Care Quality Commission. You need to check that the home you finally choose is registered in the correct category that meets your needs. Staff at the ChoicE Shop or at Adult Services will be able to help you with this.
