Tameside Children's Services Improvement Board

Following the Ofsted inspection of children's services in autumn 2016, the Tameside Children’s Service Improvement Board was established in January 2017 to deliver an improvement programme. The objective of the improvement programme is for a multi-agency partnership, to achieve sustainable improvement across the full range of services for children and young people in Tameside.

The board will ensure that the Tameside council and its partners work together to make sustainable improvements that promote and protect vulnerable children and young people. More information about the role of the board can be found in the terms of reference Link to Adobe PDF file

Jane Booth has been appointed as independent chair of the Improvement Board.  Jane is in charge of overseeing the effective functioning of the Board, and providing appropriate external challenge. Agencies represented on the Improvement Board will be responsible for leading and driving the improvement process within their own organisations to ensure a coordinated multi-agency approach.
