Civic Advisory Panel

The Council has appointed representatives of the Tameside community, together with the Civic Mayor, to serve on a Civic Advisory Panel.

Members - Mrs. Kathleen Carey, Miss Sarah Carter, Mrs. Margaret Eddowes, Mr. Manilal Mistry, Lord Pendry, Lord Sheldon, together with the Civic Mayor.

The Panel Members attend meetings of the Council and are given the opportunity to speak, but not vote, on behalf of the citizens of the Borough at these meetings.

At every ordinary meeting of the Council, members of the public have the chance to have a question asked on their behalf by members of the Civic Advisory Panel about broader Council wide issues.

Local issues are dealt with separately at each of the eight District Assemblies. On line form for District Assembly questions.

The Panel is not a Complaints Panel, and there is a separate Corporate Complaints System for such matters.

If you want to submit a question on a broader Council wide issue to the Council Meeting, please complete the on-line form which needs to be submitted at least 3 working days before the Council Meeting.
