Consultation 2007
Funeral Directors and Clergy Consultation 2007
Bereavement Services
Bereavement Services would like to thank all Funeral Directors and members of the clergy of all faiths who took time to complete the annual questionnaire, which was sent out in April 2007.
Of the 40 questionnaires given out, we were very much encouraged with the response at receiving 32 forms back.
The overall results were very encouraging in measuring the way the service is perceived.
In general terms the results were reflected as the graph below shows.

Achievements
Tameside Council has been officially named the best in the country.
The borough scooped the coveted Best Achieving Council award at the prestigious Municipal Journal (MJ) Awards.
Judges were impressed by Tameside's track record as an "excellent" council - in this year's Comprehensive Performance Assessment it was the only local authority in the north west to receive the top rating of four stars with a judgement of "improving strongly".
The award follows the council recently becoming the first metropolitan borough in the country to achieve a Charter Mark - the Government's standard for customer service.
In 2007 we achieved a Green Flag Award.
The Green Flag Award Scheme is the national standard for parks and green spaces across England and Wales. The award is managed by The Civic Trust on behalf of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and the Green Flag Advisory Board. The Award Scheme, begun in 1996, recognises and rewards the best green spaces in the country. Awards are given on an annual basis.
Each site is judged on its merit and its place in the community it serves. The media and the general public have shown great interest in the Scheme and its award winners, becoming increasingly aware that a site flying a Green Flag is a high quality green space.
