Empowering Tameside Engagement Strategy

‘Empowering Tameside’ is the first Tameside Strategic Partnership (TSP)  Engagement Strategy. 

Engagement in Tameside is all about Tameside Strategic Partnership involving residents, listening to their views and reaching joint decisions on improving issues in the borough.

‘Empowering Tameside’ sets out the way TSP organisations, including the Council, Greater Manchester Police and NHS Tameside and Glossop, involve local people in decision-making. The strategy creates a more co-ordinated approach to listening to the views of Tameside’s residents.

‘Empowering Tameside’ is made up of three parts:

• Tameside Engagement Strategy 1.22 MB  - this part of ‘Empowering Tameside’ sets out why we need an engagement strategy and the benefits of having one. It also includes a set of shared principles all TSP members have signed up to which ensure residents are more informed and involved with local public services than ever before.
• Engagement Activity Audit 1.11 MB  - this is an audit of all regular engagement opportunities that take part across Tameside.
• Engagement Toolkit 846 KB  - this sets out practical guidelines to be followed when organising engagement activity.
