The Contaminated Land Regime and Policy
In July 2001, in response to new legislation (Part IIA of the Environmental Protection Act 1990) the Council published its Contaminated Land Strategy stating how contamination issues in the Borough will be dealt with.
The following boxes contain links to the Council's guidance, policy and register of contaminated land. If you wish to talk to anyone regarding contaminated land issues or report an area of potential contaminated land contact the Contaminated Land Service.

This should not be confused with the Councils Guidance Note for Contaminated Land Planning issues. |

This details the Council’s policy on various aspects of the contaminated land regime and reviews time scales and objectives set out within the July 2001 Contaminated Land Strategy. |
