Consultation completed and now closed Consultation due late 2012    

 

Tameside is preparing part of its Local Plan called the 'Joint Core Strategy and Development Management Policies Local Development Document'.

The plan will, in due course, be independently assessed at an Examination in Public and will provide an appropriate basis for the planning of the borough over the next 15 years. The Joint Core Strategy and Development Management Policies LDD will set out:

Long-term vision | Strategic objectives | Planning and development strategy | Policies | Monitoring and implementation framework

 


 

Issues and Options:

Consultation on this stage of the document is now closed, taking place between 20 February and 2 April 2012.

This phase of the LDD's production is to gather the main issues and key challenges facing Tameside and to present options for the overall spatial strategy. Prior to the period of consultation, the following archived documents which accompany the Joint Core Strategy and Development Management Policies LDD were considered by Tameside's Executive Cabinet on 8 February 2012.

All District Assembly and Town Council Link to External Website meetings were attended in February and March 2012 as part of the consultation period where you were able to ask us any questions you may have had about the consultation documents below which are retained here for information purposes. The consultation period has now closed, thank you for any representations which you may have made, we will feedback to these through the next phase of the documents production.

Preferred Options:

The Council is currently considering the responses it received in relation to the issues and options consultation which took place in February, March and April of 2012. It will respond to these through the Preferred Options stage of the documents production which it expects to publish in late 2012.
