The following roadworks are underway/programmed to begin shortly within the borough. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience these works may cause you.

• Audenshaw Road - Audenshaw
  Construction of bus lane, until end of July 2008
• Mellor Road - Ashton-under-Lyne
  Temporary road closure due to building works at Tameside Hospital. From 3rd December 2007 for 18 months. Diversions in place.
• Fitzroy Street - Ashton-under-Lyne
  Temporary road closure due to major building renovation works. From 31st January 2008 for 18 months. Diversions in place.
• Yorkshire Street - Ashton-under-Lyne
  Temporary road closure due to sewer flood relief works. From 18th February 2008 to 18th August 2008. Diversions in place.
• Welbeck Street South/ Fleet Street - Ashton-under-Lyne
  Temporary road closure due to major building works. From 28th February 2008 for 60 weeks. No diversion route will be in place.
• Bentinck Street/ Brook Street East/ Old Street - Ashton-under-Lyne
  Temporary road closure due to major building works. From 28th February 2008 for 60 weeks. Diversion in place.
• Stamford Street West - Ashton-under-Lyne
  Temporary road closure due to major building works. From 28th February 2008 for 60 weeks. Diversions in place.
• Corporation Street - Stalybridge
  Temporary road closure due to building works. From 17th March 2008 for 12 months. Diversions in place.
• Marlborough Street/ Trafalgar Street -Ashton-under-Lyne
  Temporary road closure due to major building works. From 24th March 2008 for 12 months. Diversions in place.
• Mellor Road - Ashton-under-Lyne
  Temporary road closure due to major building works. From 31th March 2008 to 28th July 2008. Diversions in place.
• Darnton Road - Ashton-under-Lyne
  Temporary 3 way traffic lights. From 2nd April 2008 to 30th July 2008.
• Glebe Street - Ashton-under-Lyne
  Temporary road closure due to major building works. From 21st April 2008 to 11th August 2008. Diversions in place.
• Vinery Grove - Denton
  Footway refurbishment
• Dewsnap Bridge - Dukinfield
  Temporary closure due to carriageway resurfacing. From 19th July 2008 to 28th July 2008. Diversions in place.
• Victoria Road/ Globe Lane - Dukinfield
  Roundabout will be closed on 19th July 2008 for 2 days. Diversions in place.
• Tawton Avenue - Hattersley
  Footway refurbishment.
• Sandy Haven Close - Hattersley
  Footway refurbishment.
• Travis Street - Hyde
  Footway refurbishment.
• Reynold Street - Hyde
  Footway refurbishment.
• Turner Street - Ashton-under-Lyne
  Temporary road closure due to major sewer works. From 26th June 2008 to 10th July 2008. Diversions in place.
• Lumb Lane/ Littlemoss Road - Droylsden
  Carriageway resurfacing, from Brookside Avenue to Railway Bridge.
• Moss Bank Avenue - Droylsden
  Full length carriageway resurfacing.
• Brook Avenue - Droylsden
  Temporary road closure due to sewer works. From 2nd July 2008 to 27th August 2008, diversions in place.
• Lodge Lane - Hyde
  Temporary traffic lights, from 30th June 2008 to 11th July 2008.
• Lilly Street - Hyde
  Temporary road closure due to craning works. From 7th July 2008 to 14th July 2008. Diversions in place.
• Greenfield Street - Hyde
  Temporary road closure due to drain system works. From 7th July 2008 to 14th July 2008. Diversions in place.
• Stamford Street - Mossley
  Temporary traffic lights. From 7th July 2008 to 9th July 2008.
• Lumb Lane - Ashton-under-Lyne
  Temporary traffic lights. From 17th July 2008 for 1 day.
• Hulme Road - Denton, from Ashbrook Avenue to Windsor Road
  Footway refurbishment
• Balmoral Avenue - Audenshaw
  Full length carriageway resurfacing
• The Crest - Droylsden
  Full length carriageway resurfacing
• Alder Grove - Denton
  Full length carriageway resurfacing
• Cypress Grove - Denton
  Full length carriageway resurfacing
• Dale View - Denton
  Full length carriageway resurfacing
