Constituency Work
This is my seconed year and I have continued to work hard for the constituents of Audenshaw.
I have dealt with many enquiries from constituents in my Ward. I receive enquiries in many forms i.e. telephone calls, letters, e-mails, via advice surgeries as well as home visits and dealing with constituents calling to my home.
Members' Advice Surgeries
I have two regular monthly advice surgeries in Audenshaw, dealing with constituents complaints, requests and enquiries.
Training and Development
I have continued to attend the training sessions, which were arranged for Elected Members.
Achievements During the Year
During my first year I successfully negotiated a better deal for the bus corridor on Audenshaw Road, when completed it will facilitate a smoother flow of traffic and safer parking facilities for the constituents of Audenshaw Road.
I have secured £10,000 from Loxley Homes, which is now being used to inprove the Memorial Gardens.
I have secured £700 for Assheton Avenue, this will provide plans to be drawn to transform the land that sits in the middle.
I have been campaigning for Alley Gating, Homewatch Schemes, CCTV Cameras in areas of anti social behaviour, street cleaning, better roads and pavements thought Audenshaw.
I am looking forward to continue to work hard and inprove Audenshaw along with my fellow Ward Councillors.
Again we have had a successful campaign to elect a 3rd Labour Councillor in Audenshaw, this backs up that Labour is working hard in Audenshaw and for its constituents all year round.
