Constituency Work

This is my third year, that I have been a Councillor and I have continued to work hard for the constituents of Audenshaw.

I have dealt with many enquiries from constituents in my Ward. I receive enquiries in many forms i.e. telephone calls, letters, e-mails, via advice surgeries as well as home visits and dealing with constituents calling to my home.

I have two regular monthly advice surgeries in Audenshaw, dealing with constituents complaints, requests and enquiries.

Training and Development

I have continued to attend the training sessions, which were arranged for Elected Members.

Achievements During the Year

During my first year I successfully negotiated a better deal for the bus corridor on Audenshaw Road, now that it is completed it has made a difference to the flow of traffic and has created safer parking facilities for the constituents of Audenshaw Road.

The £10,000 secured from Loxley Homes, which has now been used to improve the Memorial Gardens with a new foot path though the gardens, Memorial stone and new bedding arears has made it a plesenter place to visit.

Assheton Avenue have formed a residents committee and are in the process of deliberating over plans that is hoped will transform the land that sits in the middle.

I have been campaigning for Alley Gating, Homewatch Schemes, CCTV Cameras in areas of anti social behaviour, and have continued to keep the streets clean, improve the roads and pavements thought Audenshaw.

I am looking forward to the next 12 months and will continue to campaine for better facilities for Audenshaw residents. A lot has been done over the past year and much more needs to be done. I will be doing my best to delever the best for Audenshaw.
