Constituency Work

Did work for residents on a daily basis, as and when required. Met people in shops and around the town etc.

Members’ Advice Surgeries

Held monthly surgeries at 3 local schools on a rotating basis and regular weekly surgeries have been successful.

Achievements during the Year

I feel I have shared good work around the Ward and involved residents with newsletters.

We have had success with safety measures on Yew Tree Lane, got a bus stop moved and a bus shelter erected. Had resident involvement in preventing new build i.e. detached houses in an inappropriate place, no planning permission given, and reached an amicable status regarding Dukinfield Golf Club. Sadly, we cannot please everyone all of the time.

Our enhancement to Cheetham’s Park entrances has been successful along with the many organisations in our Ward who have received donations from us, including all our churches.
