There are 5 surgeries held each month, which along with my fellow Ward Councillors, attend throughout the year at various venues within the Ward.
Training and Development
I have received training in my capacity as a Councillor, Cabinet Deputy and member of the Executive Board.
I will continue to attend training and seminars in my capacity as Cabinet Deputy for Lifelong Learning as I believe this to be an important part of my role, which benefits myself both as a Councillor and Tameside Council.
Wherever possible I will promote good practice in Tameside and implement policies efficiently and effectively in the interest of all concerned.
Achievements during the Year
The year has seen many achievements in the Ward I service and in my capacity as Cabinet Deputy for Lifelong Learning. There was a considerable increase in Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 results.
Noticeable improvements have been made in the Ward with street lighting and environmental issues.
The regeneration in Droylsden in new build will have an enormous impact with facilities to be provided in the community.
