I have attended several site meetings with the Town Manager and other Council Officers together with my fellow Councillors to discuss problems and issues raised by residents.

Together with my fellow Councillors, I have supported many community groups within Audenshaw Ward by donating ward monies and where possible attending functions.

Members Advice Surgeries

Together with my ward colleagues, I have attended advice surgeries at Ryecroft Hall and Audenshaw Community Centre.

Training and Development

I have continued to attend training sessions which were organised for Elected Members.

Achievements during the Year

This year I have been extremely proud to be Civic Mayor of Tameside with my husband, Sydney as my Consort. I have attended hundreds of functions and community events, all of which have been most enjoyable and very special to me.

I have raised funds for the Mayor’s Charity and took part in a sponsored walk for my Mayoral Appeal Fund in Hyde Park.

This year we saw the first vegetables grown on the allotment run by children from Poplar Street Primary School with the assistance of Stamford Road Allotments Society. I was very proud to attend the school’s Harvest Festival and to see the wonderful home grown produce. The allotment has built up a very good relationship with the children and the older members of the allotment society and it is lovely to see the different generations working together.

I am looking forward to the year ahead and will continue to campaign for better facilities for Audenshaw residents.
