• Corporate Governance (CPA) (Lead - Champions Group)
• Attendance at Speakers Panel and Scrutiny Panel
• Numerous conferences relating to corporate and performance issues

Participation at District Assemblies

Member of Hyde District Assembly with responsibility for local liaison, and a member of Longdendale and Hattersley District Assembly with responsibility for community safety.

I have overall responsibility for all District Assemblies and meet regularly with all the Chairs.

Participation on School Governing Bodies

I work with all governing bodies in my Ward.

Constituency Work

I am Chair of Hattersley Neighbourhood Partnership. The Partnership now has six theme groups, which identify required actions and coordinate work in identified priority areas. These are:

• Children and Young People (0-19)
• Community Network
• Community Safety
• PACT Meetings
• Health and Leisure
• Jobs, Training and Enterprise
• Physical Environment
• I am a Trustee and Chair of Home Start Tameside. This is a programme to help parents with young children throughout Tameside.
• I am on the Executive Board of the Hyde BWA Committee.
• I am Trustee on the Hattersley Community Media

I have attended regular meetings of the above-mentioned committees throughout the year as well as dealing with a variety of constituency issues.

Achievements during the Year

• The regeneration of Hattersley continues and is an ongoing situation.
• Improved Street Lighting
• Environmental improvements throughout the Ward
• Involvement with Britain in Bloom
• Keeping the Ward clean, green and safer

Members Surgeries

I have attended regular advice surgeries throughout the year at Godley Primary School, Hyde Town Hall and Hattersley Community Centre.

Training and Development

I have attended numerous training sessions throughout the year.
