Councillor Jonathan Reynolds
Ward: Longdendale
Annual Report of Activities 2010/11
The information listed below is a summary of my work on behalf of the people of Longdendale over the 2010/2011 year.
Surgeries
Since being elected as Member of Parliament for Stalybridge and Hyde, I have been holding regular surgeries throughout the constituency, but I have still held regular surgeries in Longdendale. On top of traditional surgeries, I have held a couple of ‘roving surgeries’, to hear people’s concerns on their doorstep throughout the ward. I have dealt with numerous pieces of casework on behalf of the residents of Longdendale.
Longdendale Bypass
I have continued to campaign for the Longdendale bypass, despite more disappointing news on funding from central government. I have started to work with Conservative MP for High Peak Andrew Bingham, in an attempt to build some cross party support on this issue.
School Governor Commitments
I have continued to serve as a school governor at Longdendale Community Language College.
Civic Engagements
I attended one of the wards Remembrance Day events at Mottram Church. I also attended Mottram show. I attended the funeral of my colleague Cllr Roy Oldham who led the Council for thirty years.
