Participation at Council Panels and Committees

I am Chair of Services for Children and Young People Scrutiny Panel and have attended all meetings bar 1 this municipal year. I have attended Chairs’ briefings and panel briefings prior to each SCYP meeting. In my role as Chair I have met with officers, gone on site visits and attended budget meetings. I have also attended quarterly meetings with other Scrutiny chairs and met with Cabinet Members.

I sit on the Overview/Audit Panel and have attended 3 meetings.

I am on Speakers Panel Planning and have attended all meetings and briefings this year.

I have attended 6 Full Council and Council Business meetings.

Participation at District Assembly Meetings

I have attended all bar 1 Hyde DA Meetings.

Participation on Outside Bodies

I am a member of Hyde War Memorial Trust and have attended 3 meetings.

Constituency Work

I have regularly attended Werneth Ward PACT meetings where a number of issues have been raised and solved by partners.

I continue to be heavily involved in the “Friends of Sam Redfern Green” group.

I have been in “clean ups” throughout Werneth Ward.

I am a member of the Theatre Royal Onward Association.

I attended and helped at the youth discos ran by GMP in Werneth.

I helped serve at the senior citizens Christmas lunch.

Achievements during the year

I have, through ward monies, 3rd Gee Cross Scouts, GX Festival Weekend, Hyde BWA and many more.

Surgeries

Along with Cllrs Bell and Baines I hold a local monthly surgery where we have handled many residents issues.

I also hold a sole surgery once a month.

Conservative Party Participation

I am Chair of Werneth Ward Conservatives and Deputy Chair (Membership and Finance) of Stalybridge and Hyde Conservative Association.

I attend regular group meetings

I distribute literature throughout my ward.

I meet with relevant officers in my role as Shadow Spokesperson.
