Participation at Council Panels and Committees

I am Deputy Chair of Technical, Economic and Environmental Services Scrutiny Panel.

I have attended eight Panel meetings and four site visits.

In my role as Deputy Chair I have attended briefings prior to meetings and met with officers for research purposes.

I have attended quarterly meetings with the Chief Executive and Scrutiny development sessions.

I have attended five Full Council and Council Business meetings.

Participation at District Assembly Meetings

I have attended all bar one Hyde District Assembly meetings.

Participation on Outside Bodies

I am a member of Werneth Low Joint Management Committee and have attended two meetings.

Constituency Work

I have attended seven Werneth PACT meetings where a number of issues have been brought up and resolved due to the work done by the partners.

I am involved in local organisations including Baron Road Allotments Association and the Gee Cross Community Well Dressing Committee.

I am a member of the WISH Management Committee.

I’m a member of the Theatre Royal Onward Association .

I have dealt with many residents concerns including, antisocial behaviour, housing problems, waste issues and road traffic concerns.

I have attended a public meeting regarding planning concerns.

Achievements during the Year

I have helped Willow Wood Hospice, Hyde Cricket and Squash Club, Tameside Action for Social Comm & Autism Group, St George’s and Holy Trinity Scout Groups through Ward monies.

Surgeries

Along with my Ward colleagues I hold local monthly surgeries and have handled many complaints as a result.

Training and Development

I have attended eight training sessions on a range of subjects, including waste management 14-19 help, on-line development and Scrutiny issues.

Conservative Party Participation

I am Chair of Werneth Ward Conservatives and Deputy Chair of Stalybridge and Hyde Conservative Association.

I have attended many meetings and done a great deal of work in this capacity.

I attend regular group meetings and caucus meetings.
