Tame Valley Way
A 24 mile walking trail linking Denshaw in Saddleworth with Stockport town centre. It broadly follows the course of the River Tame and is a varied and attractive walk, combining hill country, riverside and canal walking, woodlands, meadows and industrial heritage.
Split into five sections of varying lengths, public transport is available at the start and finish of each section.

This section of the path, offers a great variety of walking; along the youthful river, past historic mills and through the pretty village of Delph with its pubs and cafes. Uppermill at the end of this section is the main village of Saddleworth and has a large variety of pubs, cafes and shops.
