1. Welcome
Claire welcomed everyone to the meeting and asked for members who have not previously attended to e-mail Julie groups/areas/partnerships they link in with so a mapping exercise can be undertaken.

3. Minutes from the last meeting
Debbie Wood’s apologies to be added.
4. Matters Arising
There were some queries about the targets relating to the outcome theme.
Action: Julie to circulate Outcome Sub-theme document to all members and the section from last year’s APA which relates to positive contributions.
5. Key Area for Improvement
Claire felt that the group should concentrate on the key area from the APA. “Improve Targeted participation by minority ethnic groups, in initiating voluntary activities to support the community and environment.”
The group came up with a list of possible contacts who may have some examples:

Action: Lisa to look for examples within Community Cohesion Partnership, Maurice to look for examples with Interfaith Network, John to look for examples within YOT. Julie to contact the rest to collate activities.
6. Developments for theme 4
How do we measure self confidence/self esteem?
A number of areas are being developed;
- Pupil centred reviews - Karen Buchanen
- PASS Pupils’ attitudes to self and school
- Yr 10 survey
- NEET, cross over with economic well-being
- Involving Y.P. in District Assemblies.
- PSHE surveys
- Ofsted surveys
- Involving C&YP in recruitment
- Teenage parents- Cavendish Mill Group
7. Developing targets & indictors; involving C&YP
Discussion around how we involve children and young people.

How do we access them?
This item to be included on the agenda for the next meeting.
Action: Julie to agenda for the next meeting.
8. Children & Young People’s Plan- review
The group was asked if they could read the plan and forward any comments.
Action: Julie to send out the complete plan.

Claire intends to report on the progress of Positive Contributions from the C&YP’s plan
