Item 1: Welcome

Julie welcomed everyone to the meeting and introductions were made around the room.

Item 2: Apologies

Item 3: Notes of last meeting and matter arising

(a) Minutes

The minutes of the last meeting were agreed as a correct record.

Parenting Support Strategy Manager

Parent Support Strategy Manager Lorraine Butler now appointed and due to commence end of February.

Item 4: SID Presentation (Kath Astley)

Kath Astley gave a demonstration of SID with emphasis on the Practitioners Area.
SID is due to be updated in March which will lead to easier navigation, more “user friendly”
The number of hits on the Service Information Directory has increased but there are still staff directories that need updating. Any updates should be sent to Kath 

Item 5: Common Processes

  • CAF Statistics – 1 Common Assessment & 22 information to share.
  • Since April there has been a significant increase in CAF’s completed.
  • Reminder to send completed CAF’s to Jane-Ann
  • Leaflets were distributed with information regarding CAF Card training which is taking place in March.

Item 6: Contact Point Presentation

David Hoyle gave a presentation regarding Contact Point.

  • In the short/medium term JASPER will continue to run
  • Pocket guides were distributed (more can be ordered from DCFS website)
  • Common Processes handbook distributed
  • Contact Point went live on Monday 26th January – Nationally
  • We are looking to get release Aug/Sept
  • Starting to deliver training in Autumn.

Item 7: Consultation with external consultants

Adrian Acres from Sinead Brophy Consultants gave details of the consultancy process.

The stage we are at present is Phase one where there is a mapping of services and listening to what practitioners have to say.

Item 9: Any other Business

NEET group looking at setting up Horticulture project – Activities Grant would pay £30 for 17-18 year olds working on the project. It is hoped that the young people would tend to allotments and group their own vegetables.
