- How can You use the Service?
Some Deaf or Deafblind people can feel isolated and can easily become withdrawn. This can happen whether they live alone or with other people.
"I worry sometimes when I'm out with a group, and I ask myself why I should expect other people to slow down for me. It's easy to give up and not go out at all."
How can the Volunteer Service help?
We can provide you with:
- Someone to talk to who will listen to you;
- Time and companionship, whether in your home or out and about, its your choice;
- Ongoing emotional support to assist with adjustment and other issues;
- Information about services and equipment to help you get more out of life.
This service is free and completely confidential.
