Loxley House

What does Loxley House provide?

Loxley House provides day time support in a safe environment for people with a disability and/or a sensory impairment and in doing so also provides respite for families and carers. It is run by staff from Tameside Adult Services.

What can you do at Loxley House?

  • Take part in a variety of social and leisure activites. 
  • A part time physiotherapist is available to carry out assessments and devise a mobility programme if required.
  • Meals are available catering for all diets.
  • Meet other people with disabilities.
  • Access information such as housing support and opportunities to attend educational courses.

What else happens at Loxley?

You will be given a keyworker who will be your point of contact if you have any questions. This person will also carry out regular reviews with you to see if your placement at Loxley is going well.

Can anyone go to Loxley?

You need to contact Tameside Adult Services to find out if you are eligible to attend. Staff will carry out an assessment to find out if Adult Services may be able to support you.

When is it open?

We are open Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm.

Is there a charge?

There are day care charges which Tameside Adult Services will discuss with you.

Is there transport to and from the centre?

At your assessment you will be assessed against the current eligibility criteria for transport.
