Visual Impairment Service

How to Get the Service

If you think that you, or anyone you know, would benefit from the Visual Impairment Service please contact Adult Services. Someone will then ask for further information such as your name, address, GP, etc. They will then ask you some questions using the guidelines to decide the most appropriate service for you.

This information will then be passed to the appropriate team who will contact you as soon as possible. They will make an appointment to come and see you at home to find out what your needs are and to discuss the help and support available.

This may take more than one visit and provides the opportunity to talk about any feelings you may have relating to your visual impairment and the difficulties you may be experiencing. We will work with you on a more detailed assessment and ensure the most appropriate services are put in place.
