Question Time

You have a chance to ask about local service at every meeting during Question Time, which forms part of the meeting. People wanting to ask questions are asked to fill in the question sheet before the meeting starts. You can get the sheet before the day from libraries, customer service centres, pick one up at the meeting before it starts or use the online form.

Please hand your sheet to Linda Walker at the meeting. Please note that questions sent via the online form must arrive before noon on the day of the meeting.

Longdendale and Hattersley District Assembly was formed in May 1998 and is one of eight area based panels established by Tameside Council. The assembly is viewed by many as the focal point for questions about public services and issues affecting the local area.

The Assembly is responsible for the upkeep of local parks, open spaces and roads. We work closely with the patrollers and police to improve safety and with youth workers to provide useful activities for young people. District Assemblies are also responsible for co-ordinating Tameside in Bloom.

Our District Assembly meets every few weeks. And, every day, teams of Assembly staff are out and about making the streets cleaner and safer and working with others to provide more services and activities in our town.

So we hope you'll come along and get involved.
