Tameside Domestic Violence Resource Directory
Tameside Domestic Violence Resource Directory
Tameside Domestic Violence Forum
This directory has been produced by the Tameside Domestic Violence Co-ordinator with the help of the Tameside Domestic Violence Forum - a local multi-agency group that works within the framework of the Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership.
The aim is comprehensive and easily accessible information for people who come into contact with those experiencing Domestic Violence and cases of Forced Marriage.
Central government expects each local area to produce a directory of their Domestic Violence services that must be updated at least every two years.
The Directory has:
- List of Contact Entries which links to individual pages of the Contact Guide, for local and national organisations from both the statutory and voluntary sector, with details of their services relevant to people affected by Domestic Violence and how to contact them.
- Good Practice Guide 425.28 KB
to raise awareness of Domestic abuse and help services respond appropriately.
The Domestic Violence Co-ordinator can give you advice and has a copy of The UK Gold Book. This is a guide to all the refuges and domestic abuse services in the UK. Please contact Tameside MBC Community Safety Unit on 0161 342 3997.
In an emergency you should always contact 999.
The Police take Domestic Violence seriously and will respond to all incidents. Domestic Violence should be reported to the Police.

Please note: The Tameside Domestic Violence Forum is not liable for the standard of any work by any agency, group, organisation or person referred to in this directory.
This directory has in part referred back to the information pack produced several years ago by the Tameside Domestic Violence Forum - up-dating where necessary and has used some of the material provided by Kennedy Potts Training Associates Domestic Abuse Training Manual.
In this directory, we endeavour to take a non-gendered approach but will use the female as the default where necessary.
