What is your link to Football?

My link with football started when I was about 7 years old, I played for my primary school and my secondary school. I continued to play and represented Ashton Sixth Form College and University of Central Lancashire. I am a season ticket holder at Manchester City and enjoy watching local derbies. Nowadays I play 5-a-side on Sunday mornings, but my main involvement is as a coach in schools and the community.

What sort of books do you like to read?

I particularly enjoy reading crime novels and thrillers. I have also enjoyed Autobiographies by Stuart Pearce and Paul Gascoigne.

When and where do you read?

I read mostly on holiday and in bed.

What is it about reading that you find enjoyable?

I enjoy reading as it stimulates the mind, and I enjoy good material which allows me to visualise the story.

What are your top five reads of all time?

  1. Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown
  2. Psycho: the autobiography by Stuart Pearce
  3. About a boy by Nick Hornby
  4. Gazza: my story by Paul Gascoigne
  5. The Twits by Roald Dahl
