Community Consultation goes Hi-tech in Dukinfield
Community Consultation goes hi-tech in Dukinfield
Dukinfield Park needs your views
Dukinfield Park is one of the largest areas of public green space in Dukinfield and one of the finest in the borough. Completed in 1902, the park was designed to celebrate Dukinfield's new status as a Town, and to establish its identity from neighbouring Ashton and Stalybridge. But like many parks dating from the beginning of the 20th Century, it is in need of investment to safeguard it and improve the facilities for future generations.
On behalf of Dukinfield District Assembly, Groundwork Tameside will be carrying out a community consultation that aims to capture local people's priories, feelings and aspirations for the future development of the park. The results of which will be used to attract grant funding to help turn these aspirations into reality.
As part of the consultation, an on-line survey is available. This will form part of a large scale residents and stakeholders consultation on the park and will take place over the coming summer months. It is a brand new way for local residents, community groups and schools in the area to get involved in its future without spending a lot of time writing and filling out long paper questionnaires. With the new online service, people can do it at there own pace, in a very simple and easy to understand format.
The consultation is available to complete at: http://survey.groundworknw.org.uk/Surveys/TakeSurvey.aspx?surveyid=1021
Consultation ends on 1st October 2006
