This statement is taken from the Early Years Foundation Stage document (practice guidance - page 6). In Tameside we have produced a booklet called "Supporting Children's Learning and Development: A guide to Observation , Assessment and Planning", which is designed to support all EYFS practitioners in effectively supporting children's learning and development
