This course is open to: 

Practitioners who work with children from birth to 60 months in PVI settings, Children Centres, LA Schools and Out of School clubs

Course Description:

This course is designed to help those attending to identify the factors that will influence their choice of leadership styles or behaviours. (This course is worth 2 credits).

Course Objectives:

  • To understand leadership qualities and review your own leadership qualities and potential.
  • Explain why leadership styles and behaviours are likely to have a positive effect on individual and group behaviour.
  • Describe appropriate actions to enhance your own leadership behaviour in the context of the particular leadership model.
  • To explore the role of trust and respect in effective team leadership.

Accreditation Details:

This course can form part of a Level 3 Award in First Line Leadership and Management

Assessment Details:

Through informal assessment through small group discuss and tasks
