Tameside Achievement Awards
Tameside Achievement Awards
The Tameside Achievement Awards are presented annually to two pupils from each school that wishes to take part. Schools are invited to nominate a pupil who has achieved very good academic attainment and a pupil who has made excellent progress.
Councillor Gerald Cooney Cabinet Deputy for Lifelong Learning also expressed his delight with the success of the Awards, "It is not easy to nominate just two pupils from each of our schools but we are delighted that the achievements of so many young people in our schools is represented by the pupils receiving this Award."
The final accolade for these pupils is to have their names recorded on the "Tameside Wall of Fame" on the Tameside website. Constructed of gold bricks, this electronic wall will include the names of all those nominated for the Awards.
