By-Election of a Borough Councillor for Denton North East

1. An Election is to be held of One Borough Councillor for Denton North East.
   
2. Forms of nomination for the Unitary Election may be obtained at Council Offices, Wellington Road, Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside, OL6 6DL from the Returning Officer who will, at the request of an elector for any electoral area prepare a nomination paper for signature.
   
3. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, Council Offices, Wellington Road, Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside, OL6 6DL on any day after the date of this notice but no later than noon on Friday, 3 July
   
4. If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 30 July 2009.
   
5. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Council Offices, Wellington Road, Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside, OL6 6DL by 5 pm on Wednesday 15 July
   
6. Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Council Offices, Wellington Road, Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside, OL6 6DL by 5 pm on Wednesday 22 July 2009.
   
7. Applications to vote by proxy at this election applied for on grounds of physical incapacity, where that physical incapacity occurred after 5 pm on Wednesday 22 July 2009 must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Council Offices, Wellington Road, Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside, OL6 6DL by 5 pm on Thursday, 30 July 2009
