Community Arts

Current community arts projects include involvement in a number of Greater Manchester initiatives like the GMMAZ Youth Music Project Link to External Website, and the Pixelate Project Link to External Website involving live internet broadcasts from Tameside. Arts and Regeneration work in Tameside encourages creative activity in the region - from helping community groups plan and deliver arts activities in their areas, to providing marketing and funding assistance for the local artists network at Woodend Mill Link to External Website in nearby Mossley, and much more inbetween.

Lots more examples of activities delivered by Tameside's community arts team and their partners can be seen at www.madcat-arts.org.uk Link to External Website

The Tameside Local History Forum

The Forum was established in January 2000 to increase public awareness and use of all the elements of local history throughout the Borough. The aim is to promote the study of archive and source material for social, business and archaeological purposes, and to make sure that such material is well preserved, collated and accessible to all.
