14. Promoting Good Citizenship - More community use of school facilities
Activity: 14.1 Develop joint use policies with schools in Tameside
Progress: Community plans have been established for the new sports hall at West Hill and a Joint-usage Agreement is being finalised which will form a model for future schemes.
Activity: 14.2 Develop schools sports co-ordinator scheme in five secondary schools across the borough
Progress: The targets set for this scheme have been exceeded. Five Secondary Schools now have a School Sports Co-ordinator and a strategy has been put in place which will roll out the scheme to all schools within Tameside over the next 4 years.
Activity: 14.3 Establish Astley High School as a specialist sports college
Progress: Astley is now in its first year as an established Sports College.
