7. Tougher Enforcement - On the spot fines for dropping litter and dog fouling



Activity: Action Plan agreed with Tameside Patrollers

Progress: Town Patrollers now trained and briefed and on the use of Fixed Penalty Notices for Littering, Dog Fouling and Fly-tipping.


Activity: Introduction of scheme

Progress: The scheduled introduction date for Fixed Penalties is 1st May 2003.


Activity: Publicity and feedback to Members and the Public.

Progress: The use of Fixed Penalties for Littering and Dog Fouling has been publicised through signage at offence hotspots and advertising on Town Centre Notice Boards and on Car Parking Tickets.
