Activity:Council exploring the best way to replace the street lighting stock in Tameside.

Progress: An examination of opportunities relating to private leasing was undertaken in April this year. In addition and in parallel, alternative funding mechanisms were explored.

A full report was produced and submitted to the Strategic Capital Group in June.

The Group approved the report in principle, subject to a more detailed assessment being carried out when the new Prudential Guidelines come into force.
