2. Tougher Enforcement - Reduction in all forms of antisocial behaviour
Progress: This initiative is now well underway and the number of people benefiting from the scheme has risen sharply There are now over 400 vulnerable households involved in the Local Distraction Burglary Initiative.

Progress: To date (28.8.03) a total of 44 Community Representatives have completed the Community Safety Training Course.

Progress: Over 120 gating schemes have now been completed across the borough, which delivers the scheme's benefits to over 1,750 households. A further 397 schemes are in the pipeline.

Progress: A quarterly newsletter has been introduced and has just completed its first year in circulation. The Crime Reduction feature of the website is now updated on a weekly basis.
Officer responsible: Dean Hall (Emergency Planning)
Progress: A full campaign strategy has been developed and will be targeted at identified hotspots. The campaign has recently featured in advertising in local cinemas and on town centre notice boards.
A Youth Nuisance Officer has also been appointed.
The Anti-social Behaviour Team have secured 11 ASBO's and a further 29 ASBO warnings have been issued.
