What steps are necessary if I decide we do need a web site?
- Decide what the aims of the site are
- Outline the content and catagorise the information
- Compile more detailed information, such as text, logos, photos, etc.
- Check the material to be included with the board members and staff
- Acquire the skills needed or hire a specialist web designer
- Produce the web page
- Proof check it
- Get a service provider (free or otherwise)
- Publish your web site (transfer the site from your machine to the ISP)
- Check your site online
- Publicise your web site (give out the address)
- Register with Search Engines and Directories
- Most Importantly - Integrate the website as part of your Business. Ensure your staff are aware of its presence and content. Implement the website as part of your marketing strategy and ensure your web address is on all literature.
