Welcome to the 2009 Food and Drink festival. The Festival has grown each year and this year is no exception, we have had a record number of entries for each of our award categories and the number of events to be held during the festival week has almost doubled.

The Food and Drink Festival is a celebration of food and drink, those who produce it, those who prepare it, those who serve it and of course all of us who consume it. Food and drink is a reflection of our culture, our background and the way we choose to live. Here in Tameside food and drink is exciting varied and colourful and reflects the many cultures from the four corners of the globe of those that have chosen to make Tameside their home.

It is also important to remember that the food and drink industry in Tameside has many small businesses and this festival will hopefully help them by raising their profile and getting those essential customers through the door especially during these difficult times. So please take some time to enjoy this brochure and support your festival, help a local business and have a good time.

The Food & Drink festival starts on the 22nd September at the Lazy Toad restaurant Droylsden with the 'Pudding Club' (invite only).
