All premises must be passed as satisfactory by the Environmental Health Department within a two-year period before being assessed for a Healthy Choice Award. All our Healthy Choice Awards are valid for two years.
When an assessment is carried out, lots of things are taken into consideration alongside the food choices on offer, such as the presentation of food offered, as well as how prominent healthy options are on menus. Cooking methods are also taken into consideration, as are drinks available and the provision of food for children.
The above are only guidelines, as each premise should be assessed on its own individual merits.
