Playable Called Off Ref's Discretion

As you know we have had very heavy rainstorms the last few days which have flooded some parts of the Borough and in other cases left the ground absolutely saturated. As a result of this we have not been able to do as much grass cutting as we would normally do. The tractor team will prioritise the cutting of football pitches and will cut those that they can but they will not be going on to saturated pitches and making the condition of them worse. They are a very experienced team and know the pitches well and will use their judgement to ensure that the pitches are in the best condition they can be for the season. We apologise for any inconvenience caused but we must work with the weather conditions presented to us. The forecast for the weekend and early next week is slightly better so we will prioritise pitches again next week and hopefully get everything cut before the following weekend. strong>
