Home Access to Technology LogoThe government continues to implement strategies to ‘bridge the digital divide’ and launched the Home Access to Technology programme in January 2010.

Under the scheme, eligible families can apply for a computer package of a laptop with twelve months internet connectivity and a software bundle. This is a great opportunity to improve the uptake and expectation to make use of ICT to support learning.

Eligibility is the same as for Free School Meals (FSM) and is open to families with children in either Key Stage 2 or 3 (Years 3 to 9). All families meeting the criteria may benefit from the programme.
