Green Bins

Kerbside Collection Scheme

The green bin recycling scheme was introduced in 2003/04 to approximately half of the properties across the borough.

We do plan to expand the scheme borough wide in the future but as yet no dates have been set.

The scheme involves residents being given a green bin and a red sack for the collection of recyclables. Residents are asked to place mixed glass into the green bin. The red sack is used for the collection of plastic bottles, plastic film and food and drinks cans. Please put the red sack inside the green bin on the given collection dates. Bins should be presented at the kerbside from 8.00am.

A list of collection dates will be provided on your bin.
