The Continual Improvement Group

Continual Improvement Group

The Supporting People (SP) Continuous improvement Group (CIG) was set up in 2007 in response to falling standards in services.
The group is made up of about 8 core providers with others opting into the group for specific pieces of work.  The group is chaired by an SP officer.

Since its inception the group has developed several key areas of work with providers including a Core Induction Package for staff in SP funded services, an Equality Conference and a move-on application process for short term services.

Equality Conference Report

The CIG held an Equality Conference in September 2008 that looked at the broader issues involved in ensuring that services’ access and delivery promoted a good quality service to all applicants.
