Immigration Advice

The Council has Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) registered advisers who provide basic immigration advice to Level 1 standards.

Level 1

• Asylum
• Leave to enter /remain
• Nationality
• EU Immigration Law

Advisors in different Languages:

We provide Immigration Advice in the following Asian spoken languages in Tameside.

• Gujarati and Hindi Language - Level 1
• Urdu/Punjabi, Hindi and Bengali Language - Level 1

The Greater Manchester Immigration Aid Unit hold free advice sessions in the council offices at Ashton as follows :

• 1st Tuesday of the Month - from 10am to 12.30pm
• 3rd Tuesday of the Month - from 2pm to 4.30pm

The Sessions are held on an appointment basis. Please telephone to make an appointment.
