Gardening Competition Entry Form

Calling all Gardeners...

This is your chance to win a terrific prize and improve Ashton's appearance for everyone. Following on from our success last year, join in the fun and help Tameside win again in the Regional and National In Bloom competitions

Your garden can be large or small, new or well established. Even if you're in a flat and use hanging baskets and containers for your garden, there's a category for you.

Prizes:

There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for each category.

  • First Prize: £100
  • Second Prize:  £50
  • Third Prize: £20

New Category for 2008! Best School.  A one off prize of £100 will be awarded.

Categories:

  • Best Garden
  • Best Balcony/Patio/Yard/Frontage
  • Best Commercial Premises
  • Best Neighbourhood Team Effort

Every form returned will be entered into a draw for £50.Ashton Pioneer Homes logo

Champion of Champions garden competition logoAll category winners will be entered into the next round of the competition to compete for the prestigious Champion of Champions award for the whole of Tameside. 

Rules:

  • You must live in the Ashton District Assembly area
  • The garden must be your own work
  • You must not be a professional gardener
  • Only one entry per household/business (does not apply to Neighbourhood Team Effort entrants)
  • The judges' decision is final

The RHS key theme this year centres around encouraging links and activities between your unique local history and cultural diversity within your community.  It's about remembering your past and embracing your future.

Gardening and caring for the natural and built environment can bring people together in a happy and unified community.
