Tameside Nursery

Tameside has its own horticultural nursery which is based in Denton, off Cemetery Road.

The nursery produces the majority of the plants used in floral displays around Tameside.

The nursery produces approximately half a million plants per year.

The nursery employs 4 permanent staff (with temporary staff employed at peak times) and produces each year:

  • 1500 hanging baskets in summer
  • 500 hanging baskets in winter
  • 600 flower troughs and tubs
  • 27 Garsey planters (flower towers)

Tameside Nursery is not open to the general public.
