Tameside Libraries Information Service
Tameside Libraries Information Service exists to provide information to anyone, on any subject, and in any form.
There are thousands of items of stock managed by specialist staff, and all enquiries for information are welcome. Smaller quick-reference collections are provided in branch libraries throughout the Borough.
Tameside Libraries Information Service also manages the Patient Information Service: an information service located in Tameside General Hospital for patients and their carers.

New Online Resource!
Tameside Libraries Information Service have added even more online reference resources to their collection. These can be accessed by Library members at home, work, or at their nearest Tameside Library. The latest edition to this growing collection is
- Funderfinder (People in Need) - Funderfinder PIN (People in Need) contains information about approximately 4,000 trusts that give grants for relief-in-need (help because of poverty, ill-health or disability) or fund people looking for money to study or develop their career. PIN allows you to enter information about yourself and retrieves funders that match your search criteria.
- Theory Test Pro - Theory Test Pro is a highly realistic online simulation of the UK's driving theory test. It contains the entire official test question bank, hazard perception video clips and an online version of the Highway Code. Access to Theory Test Pro is available free of charge from Tameside Libraries.
- Go Citizen Go Citizen is an online study resource for candidates preparing for the Life in the UK test or British citizenship test. It includes an online version of the latest official study materials licensed from the Home Office, plus hundreds of practice test questions in the same format as the official test. Go Citizen is completely free to all members of Tameside Libraries

Tameside Libraries are now part of an exciting venture! Ask About Business is a new partnership between eleven library authorities in Greater Manchester, Blackpool, and Blackburn with Darwen. Led by Manchester Library & Information Service, Ask About Business provides access through libraries to information that supports:
- Pre-Start and new businesses
- Existing business
- Jobseekers
- Consumers
- Inventors
- Business students
